Walker was raised in western Pennsylvania, the son of a coal miner.  After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army.  Joe became a helicopter and pilot instructor.  He received several Distinguished Flying Crosses and other commendations for his efforts during two tours in the Vietnam War.

After the war, Joe attended undergraduate school at Rowan University, while continuing his military service in the Delaware National Guard.  Upon completion of an Accounting degree, he moved to Ohio, to attend law school at the University of Dayton.  Joe continued his military service in Dayton, as a helicopter pilot, with the Ohio National Guard.  After graduating in the top 5% of his law school class, he opened his private practice in the south suburbs of Dayton.  He has spent his entire career, almost 40 years, assisting clients with all manner of legal issues recovering in excess of $10 million in personal injury and medical negligence cases.

During this time, Joe has established a trusted law practice centered on helping families and small businesses.  He has also served as a mentor to lawyers who are just beginning their practices, helping them learn the intricacies of the law. Joe is a founding member of Miller, Westwood & Brush, and proud of the success the firm has attained over the years.
